String hoppers pressed from a brass mould, appams swirled in the iron chatti until the edges go lacy, dosas, vegetable stew, coconut chutney, a chai to start. It changes with what's good that morning, and there's always a plate for an early train or a late sleeper.

The Meadows is a four-bedroom villa designed on Scandinavian principles: open, airy layouts, natural stone and timber, neutral colours, and large sliding doors that pull the garden inside.
You have your own room and en-suite, and you share the rest of the house the way you would with friends: a spacious living and dining room, a kitchenette for late-night tea, a TV lounge, and sit-outs by the garden where the evenings tend to run long. Every room serves a purpose, and nothing is here for show.
